wonderful summer

Summer of 2012.
Had my early obsessions, but no investments.
Heard my friends at the time
talk and screencap and joke about some weird show.
One day I got up and decided - with no real reason why -
that I'd give it a try.

Not much to do aside from being asleep.
Went through both seasons - took me only two weeks.
Get me some Flex Tape - I think my brain formed a leak.
Didn't fret the same with laugh lanes so deep.
Bo Peep gon' weep - didn't need her sheep to sleep anymore.
Rejuvenated - 110% Juice in the morn'.
Not stuck in the Backyard - I might be stuck online
watching this pone show and missin' my wind-chimes
and deadlines and fold-clothes and bed-times -
I no-showed and fed lies
to those Jones and led life
with a smile.
I guess I was a child
who needed some light
in a life rife with cynicism
missin' the kind
of mysticism and wonders delight
from a dumb show about a horse in the night -
of course set a course to ripen my mind.
Not the kind of guy to find this kinda stuff appealin',
'til I peeled my mind open and reached a new ceiling.
For days I was dazed - I was feign-blessed,
'till this thing came around - gave me a rain check.
No loud sounds, no cloud I was under -
sun's out, it's a wonderful summer.
Friends were pinpricks I didn't miss
' till I fell in - I was livin' it.
Formed cliques and I learned how to love 'em
'cause I flicked a vid that wonderful summer.
Always wanted to make stuff to wow others -
never had the means to mean more than a lover.
Now I've had a mass of crowds to be in front of.
I'm still proud of that wonderful summer.
This community planted the seeds in me - the ****s in me,
these needs to please in me.
Too fond to leave - too much to suffer:
the bond I weaved that wonderful summer.
Heard the music they were pumpin' out their orifices,
or I missed it - too many stolid stories were told in pictures,
told in tunes. Born a witness to this mystic-
-al addiction formed attuned. Been aboard a burning cruise or two
in this cornucopia storm amused.
This is my muse to abuse.
My flex to reflex.
Rode 【HORSE】 to the vertex - coursed coarse like a Blank Check
I could never make set 'cause my words felt worthless.
Now I've gone on a limb -
take Hoofy to the gym.
Not like some Eevee EV or Eevee CP or CP; like ZD's PP,
not missin' a smedium - spirit hard with no tedium;
pick on a Picard or Picardy - lightspeed when I'm beamin' 'em.
The BBs see me be the worst in fandom,
but then they be RCT3's first expansion.
Buddy boy, I'm blasting love like a cantrip - can't miss -
too much ish from this pilgrimage - can't skip.

It's been 7 years for me.
That's a massive chunk of my life that's set instone forever.
No matter how much I lose interest,
no matter how much I may move away,
this community and this identity will always have its place in me.
